Long Acres Kennels & Cattery – Wick, Highlands
1. Hours of Business
Our kennels and cattery are open strictly for pre-booked arrivals and collections.
Opening Times: Monday–Sunday, 9:00am–11:00am and 4:00pm–6:00pm
Pets can only be accepted or collected within these hours.
2. Reservations & Deposits
Bookings can be made by telephone, email, or social media.
A 50% deposit is required within 24 hours of confirmation.
Balance of payment is due before or at drop-off.
Deposits are non-refundable unless cancellation is made 14 days or more before arrival.
3. Vaccinations & Health
All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations; proof must be provided at drop-off.
No vaccination documents = no stay.
Kennel Cough Vaccination is optional but recommended.
If you do get this please allow 14 days after receiving the vaccination before your pet's appointment date with us.
Pets must be in good general health and free of contagious conditions.
Male cats must be neutered; female cats and dogs in season cannot be accepted.
Pets must be at least 12 weeks old at the time of boarding.
In the event of illness, veterinary care will be sought immediately; all costs are the owner’s responsibility.
4. Emergency Contact
An emergency contact number must be provided upon arrival.
5. Bedding & Comfort
We provide laundered bedding for all pets.
Owners are welcome to bring home comforts such as toys and blankets.
Note: For hygiene reasons, we do not supply scratching posts.
6. Washing & Drying
Dogs may be washed and blow-dried before collection.
This service can be pre-booked at an additional cost.
7. Shared Accommodation
Written permission is required to house multiple pets from the same household in one pen or enclosure.
8. Abandoned Animals
Pets must be collected at the agreed time.
If not collected within 48 hours of the end of booking and no communication has been received, we reserve the right to rehome the animal.
9. Insurance
Insurance is provided for kennel-related incidents.
Owners are responsible for any costs not covered, including pre-existing conditions.
10. Exercise & Handling
Dogs from the same household may be exercised together but are not mixed with dogs from other households.
All exercise takes place under staff supervision in secure areas.
Cats and small animals are handled gently and according to their needs.
11. Photography
We may take photographs of pets for marketing purposes.
Owners may request copies of images.
Pets will not be identified publicly.
12. Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival will incur the full charge.
No refunds can be made for early collection.

14. Legalities & Management
Long Acres Kennels & Cattery is managed by Janet Jones, Keiss, Wick, KW1 4XG, with Ryan Jones as Supervisor.
